Madeleine and Scott found me via Madeleine's best friend and bridesmaid, fellow wedding photographer, Sara Lincoln. Naturally I was pretty happy to know that my good pal Sara would be at the wedding, and even cooler was that Sara shot MY best friend's wedding where I was a bridesmaid a week before! Talk about meant to be. As soon as I met Madeleine and Scott, I knew I'd love doing their wedding. Even though they'd been together since they were teenagers, they were obviously still very much in love and super excited about their big day.
We were at Hendall Manor Barns for the entire day, which is always a bit of a treat as a photographer because you don't need to worry about getting lost on some windy country lane between the ceremony and reception (NB. my fancy in-car sat nav is a lifesaver). And aside from that, it was just plain amazing as a venue; even the building where the girls got ready was stunning. Every part of the venue had the perfect balance between the rustic stone look and light, modern and airy space. We were also allowed to use the private garden for some portraits, and I think the below bridal party shot is one of my favourites from the wedding.
Madeleine walked down the aisle to Des'Ree 'I'm Kissing You' and I can tell you now that not only the bride shed a few tears. The emotion continued throughout the whole day and it was impossible not to see how in love these two were. It wasn't all happy tears though, there was plenty of raucous laughter, especially during the speeches! Here's some more of Mads and Scott's day...
