Amelia and Andrew were at the second wedding I ever shot; Amelia was a bridesmaid. She stood out as this beautiful, elegant woman and I remember taking a photo of her and Andrew and thinking what a lovely couple they were. I then shot another of their friend's weddings, and to this day the photo I took of them there is still a firm favourite of mine - they looked like movie stars, and did it effortlessly:
So, you can imagine how thrilled I was when they asked me to shoot their wedding as well! It's the (supposedly!) quieter time of the year for weddings at the moment, and it was lovely to be doing an engagement shoot again after at least 3 months since the last. We chose to do it at Richmond Park, and it was genuinely one of my favourites I've done. They told me about how they got engaged in a tree house, smiled absolutely loads and were basically wonderful. I asked them what they were most looking forward to about the wedding, which is an interesting question; it's often about enjoying the day, everyone being together, making it official... Andrew's reply was that he was most looking forward to when Amelia said "I do", and I did a little happy dance (inside. I am a Professional you know). Then we had a bit of a chat about whether it was "I will" or "I do" but came to the conclusion that it didn't matter too much, really. It was everything behind the words, and I think their photos demonstrate that quite well...
