Early autumn wedding at Architectural Plants

Briony and Jamie had a stunning wedding at Architectural Plants in late September, packed with gorgeous styling by Luna and the Lane and wedding co-ordination by Foil Events. They were inspired by a previous wedding I shot in Goa, India, where the theme was ‘disco jungle’ and I think they absolutely nailed it. The pink and peach tones, along with an abundance of disco balls, set against the lush greens of Architectural Plants were a visual delight!

They were lucky enough to have incredible weather on their day meaning that they had their ceremony outside by the lake, and it felt more like a destination wedding in the tropics than leafy Sussex. Florals were provided by Kate Langdale, and hair and make up were by Lydia Pankhurst and Joshua Luke.

Their little boy lit up the ceremony and beyond, and there is a special kind of joy and appreciation on a wedding day reserved for couples who already have children - possibly something to do with a wedding being such a dramatic departure from the wonderful mundanity of life as parents - and it really makes for an excellent atmosphere.

Their guests were some of the happiest I’ve seen; embracing the day with gusto, which I’m sure was helped along by the treats Briony and Jamie had organised for them in the form of macaron towers by Julian Plumart, pizza by Siena Pizza Co. a cocktail bar and an ice cream van.
